The Macom Explant bra is a post surgical bra suitable for post bilateral mastectomy or implant removal
The explant bra is highly recommended for those recovering from breast implant removal surgery and similar procedures. This is because, unlike other Macom bras which have expandable cups, the explant bra has retractable cups making it suitable for implant removal without replacement. The compression vest will help mould your own breast tissue into pre implant shape.

What to know about the Macom bra for explant surgery
With a breast removal procedure there is a slight uncertainty what the post surgical result will look like, particularly if a patient has had implants for a number of years. Having had children, nursing can add to this unpredictability.

Macom Sizing
The Macom Explant Bra has retractable cups so you only need to know your underband size as the cup will mould and retract to your new size.
It is advised to try the product on immediately after receiving the item and also prior to your procedure. If it fits then it should fit post surgery.

Material and care
Macom garments are made of 90.4% Polyamide and 9.6% Elastane.
All products are 100% latex free.
They are fully breathable, hypoallergenic and do not retain body heat.
All Macom products should be washed by hand, at a maximum temperature of 30°C. They should be air dried.
Bleach and fabric conditioner should never be used on the products.
Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean the garments as this may lead to permanent alteration of their shape and a loss of elasticity.
Do not remove stains with solvents.
